Precautions for use and maintenance of small excavators

The purpose of regular maintenance of small excavators is to reduce machine failures and extend machine service life; shorten machine downtime; improve work efficiency and reduce operating costs. There are also some things to pay attention to when using it, otherwise it is likely to cause some trouble. Precautions for the use of small excavators

1. Check before operation to confirm that everything is complete and intact. There are no obstacles and other personnel within the range of motion of the boom and bucket. The operation can only be performed after the horn is sounded.

2. In the cab of the small excavator, a protective cover must be installed for the exposed transmission part.

3. The electric single bucket excavator must be well grounded, and the oil circuit and cylinder of the hydraulically driven boom must be intact.

4. When shoveling, the working surface should not exceed the maximum excavation height and depth specified by the performance of the machine. During dragline or backhoe operation, the distance between the crawler or tire of the small excavator and the edge of the operation shall not be less than 1.5m.

5. The small excavator is working on flat ground, and the brake crawler (or tire) should be used to brake and wedged.

6. The small excavator is suitable for shoveling and digging in clay, gravel soil, peat rock and other soils. It is forbidden to use any part of the small excavator to break rocks, frozen soil, etc.

7. There should be no obstacles when taking soil and unloading soil, and no one is allowed to stay within the turning radius of the bucket during excavation. When loading the vehicle, it should be carried out after the transport vehicle has stopped. The bucket should be lowered as far as possible, and the vehicle should not be hit. It is strictly forbidden for anyone in the vehicle compartment, and it is strictly forbidden for the bucket to pass over the top of the car cab. When unloading the soil, the bucket should be lowered as much as possible, but it should not hit any part of the car.

8. When walking, the boom should be parallel to the crawler, and the slewing mechanism should be braked. The bucket should be 1m away from the ground. The walking slope shall not exceed the maximum allowable slope of the machine. Use slow speed downhill, and it is strictly forbidden to slide in neutral gear. Turning should not be too fast, and paving and reinforcement should be carried out when passing through soft ground.

9. When the small excavator rotates and brakes, the swing brake should be used, and the steering clutch must not be used for reverse braking. When fully loaded, it is forbidden to slew and brake sharply, and the bucket must not rise and fall too violently during operation. Do not impact the frame or track and other mechanical parts when falling, and do not loosen the hoisting wire rope.

10. When working, you must wait for the body to stop before digging. When the bucket is not leaving the working surface, it is not allowed to swing and walk, and the boom is not to be raised or lowered when the machine is rotating or the bucket is loading.

11. When dragging the shovel, do not continue to eat soil or overload the bucket after it is fully loaded. When the dragline is used for ditches, rivers, etc., the safe distance from the slope edge should be determined according to the depth, slope and soil quality of the ditches and rivers, generally not less than 2m. When working with backhoes, you must wait for the boom to stop before eating soil , Close the bucket, and not stretch your head too hard or too big.

12. When the driver leaves the operating position, regardless of the length of time, he must land the bucket and turn off the engine.

13. Do not use bucket to lift materials.

14. When abnormal operation is found, the machine should be stopped immediately, and the operation can be continued after troubleshooting.

15. When the small wheel excavator moves on a slope, the bucket should face the high slope.

16. When using a small excavator to demolish a structure, the operator should analyze the collapse direction of the structure, and leave a space for the collapse of the structure between the cab of the small excavator and the demolished structure.

17. After the operation is over, the small excavator should be driven to a safe area, the bucket should be lowered to brake the slewing mechanism, and the joystick should be placed in the neutral position.

18. After the operation, the machine should be wiped clean. In winter, the machine body and water tank must be fully discharged (except for freezing liquid), and the doors and windows should be closed and locked before leaving.
